Specialty Contact Lenses

If you had to discontinue contact lens wear due to dry eye there are many new options that may allow you to wear contact lenses some or all of the time.

In addition, there are now contact lenses that can help reduce dry eye signs and symptoms, reducing your need for over the counter and prescription eye drops.

Ocular Surface Disease

Often times dry eye results in Ocular Surface Disease. This chronic inflammation may need to be treated with a specific regimen that can include supplements, dietary changes, eyelid treatments and prescription eye drops. If not treated properly, Ocular Surface Disease can result in severe pain and eye redness.

If you are using over the counter eye drops more than twice a day you may be suffering from Ocular Surface Disease.
